Like life and any card game, sometimes you just get dealt a bad hand. But unlike real life, Queen's Blood has a restart button. If you find yourself in a dire situation in a game, or just want to try another strategy just pause and start the game over. This differs from Triple Triad and Tetra Master in Final Fantasy's past where you had to play through an entire game to try again. So don't feel bad if you need a fresh start.

One thing that can be a bit confusing is how the match is eventually resolved and scored. But ultimately, Queen's Blood comes down to who's got the bigger numbers in their lane. However, you don't need to win all three lanes to claim victory. In fact, if you've won a lane by enough points, you only have to win one. So don't stress if your opponent has dominated one of the three lanes. If you can scrape out the other two, you'll still come out on top.

Early on in Rebirth, you'll have some pretty mediocre cards, but so does everyone else. But by the time you get to some of the other locales in the game, you'll quickly see that you need to up your collection. There's a Card Vendor in the northern part of the Grasslands not far from Kalm where you can obtain some pretty decent stuff to build out your deck.

But this doesn't mean just field a deck of 3-pawn legendary cards. Because doing that means you lose positions in the early game and can't play those cards or build up pawns on your spaces. So make sure you still have some decent 1-cost cards in your deck to make sure you have a play for the opening turns. 

Don't ignore the pre-game in Queen's Blood. Sometimes it can be exciting to see that you've RNG'd your way to a strong opening hand. But looks can be deceiving. If you don't toss out some of those strong 3 pawn cards at the start you won't be able to play them at all.

To avoid this, you'll want to "mulligan" or toss out those super strong cards starting out, because your first three squares are only 1 pawn each. So if you don't have at least 2-3 single pawn cards, the game may be over before it begins.
